Dani Ramirez returns to Ekstraklasa. Who needs whom more?

Must read

A few years later, his former star Dani Ramirez returns to ŁKS Łódź. The transfer, which was kept a secret by the club’s representatives, has now been officially confirmed by the Knights of Spring.

The return of Dani Ramirez to Poland was regularly talked about, but hardly anyone thought that when he really decides to take such a step in his career, he will return to the white-red-white part of Łódź. Previously, other bands were mentioned in his context, but over time, the Spaniard will play Aleja Unii again.

Dani Ramirez returns to ŁKS Łódź

It’s also a reinforcer that polarizes the Knights of Spring fan community because it’s no secret that a few months ago the attacking midfielder agreed a move to… Vidzewa. Many fans of Kazimir Moskal’s team took this as a betrayal, even though the 31-year-old had never played for Piłsudski. Thus, in a sense, he must fight for “redemption”, and he can only convince on the field.

It may not be easy, given that the 2022/23 season was a complete failure for him. During the year at Zulte Waregem he played 16 matches and scored only 528 minutes. He did not score a single goal and made only one assist. So, for the whole range of sentiment, this is also a somewhat risky pass. Perhaps, at this stage of his career, the football player needs the Lodz club even more than his own club.

Strong contract for Dani Ramirez

Lodz is probably aware of this, as evidenced by the way Ramirez’s contract was built. In the club’s official statement, we read that the contract he signed will be valid for only one year, but there is a clause in it that allows it to be extended for another season.

“We believe that his repeated contact with the Łódź audience will be as successful as the previous one. At that time, Dani earned the love of the Elki public with his behavior on the field. He also recalled that it was the attacking midfielder who was the architect of success, that is, the previous promotion of ŁKS to Ekstraklasa in 2019. In the colors of the Knights of Spring, he played 52 matches, scored 15 goals and made 19 assists. In Poland, he also played for Lech Poznań and Stomil Olsztyn, and his resume also lists Real Madrid C, Getafe B or Valencia’s reserves.
