Saturday qualified for the Spanish Grand Prix. The producers who broadcast the competition captured a surprise visitor appearing in the Ferrari paddock. It was Robert Lewandowski who met with the team members.
Red Bull Racing drivers are the best this F1 season. The last race in Monaco was won by Max Verstappen, who thus secured his lead in the overall standings, with teammate Sergio Pérez coming in second.
Spanish Grand Prix: Max Verstappen wins qualifying
The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in Spain at the Circuit de Catalunya. On Saturday, June 3, qualification took place, which was won by none other than the reigning world champion Dutchman. Thanks to this, Verstappen starts from pole position in Sunday’s race. Right behind the Red Bull driver were Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Briton Lando Norris of McLaren.
Saturday’s qualifying win was Verstappen’s fifth of the season. The reigning world champion Dutchman has already won four times this season - in Bahrain, Australia, the USA and Monaco. Interestingly, the other two fights in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan were won by his teammate Sergio Perez, who was only eleventh in qualifying.
An unexpected guest on the F1 track
Interesting photos not related to the race have been circulating on the Internet. Robert Lewandowski was a Ferrari guest in the paddock, that is, in a separate place behind the service alley, where F1 team trucks are parked and there are buildings where team members rest. The Barcelona striker took advantage of the fact that the next GP is taking place in Catalonia. The captain of the Polish national team met and spoke with the team members and then entered the team box.
Robert Lewandowski gave the F1 driver a gift
It can be seen that Robert Lewandowski is interested in Formula 1. When AlphaTauri players went to Poland in May 2023. Driver Yuki Tsunoda, who celebrated his birthday at that time, received a unique gift - a T-shirt autographed by the captain of the Polish national team.
“Robert Lewandowski is a very talented player. Now he is one of the best players in the world. I value them very much and I must admit that such a gift brought me great joy, ”the driver said then.
