Nikola Grbic wants PlusLiga to end early
Polish footballers are fighting for the best results in their clubs and they will focus on that until the end of the season. A respectable season begins immediately after the end of the league struggle, but Nikola Grbic claims that in 2024 the PlusLiga, where most Poles play, should finish games a little earlier. Interestingly, he acknowledged some time ago that negotiations had begun to set a suitable end date for the league’s next season.
– It was planned that PlusLiga will end on the weekend of April 27-28. Later, I asked us to finish a week earlier,” said the coach of the Polish national team in an interview with WP Sportowe Fakty.
Nikola Grbic: PlusLiga cannot be an excuse
This does not change the fact that the coach will not pay attention to whether the Plus League authorities decide to end it ahead of schedule or not. Nikola Grbic would not want his words to be taken as an excuse if the team fails to achieve the proper result at the Olympic Games. He added that there are many examples of teams that, despite a grueling season, have won the Olympics.
“This cannot be an excuse. If we don’t get the result we want in Paris, we can’t blame PlusLiga. This will not be our excuse, ”the coach added.
