Even before the start of the World Cup, Glik was asked about the best partner in the center of defense in the Polish national team. “I have played with Janek Bednarek and Michal Pazdan for most of my career, so definitely with one of the two,” the 34-year-old replied.

As the Benevento player noted, Pazdan and Bednarek are different types of defenders, which somewhat differed his interaction with these stoppers. And if, in terms of several goals conceded, he would have pointed to the former, then in terms of playing during the reign of Jerzy Brzencek, he would have chosen the Aston Villa defender. “Let’s say I’m 60 to 40 on Janek,” he added.
