The Polish national team has not yet lost in group B. In the third match of the volleyball world championship, players from South Korea defeated 3:0. The resistance of the Asians in this match was ineffective with such a good game of Stefano Lavarini’s wards.
The Polish team started the volleyball world championship with two victories in spectacular style. To defeat the Croats (3:1), a spectacular comeback from a score of 8:16 was needed, and in the match with Thailand, Byalo-Chervona left no chance for their rivals and won 3:0, winning three sets up to seventeen. .
The Polish national team played another third match with South Korea, which was coached by our current coach Stefano Lavarini in 2019-2021. As he admitted before this match, he knows our opponents, so he can help our players.
Poland - South Korea. The first set was close for a long time
The clash between Poland and South Korea began after 20:30. The start of this match was very even, with both Polish and Korean players playing point for point. Only with the result of 13:12 did the Koreans take the lead by two points after the ace of Dzhua’s serve. Zuzanna Gurekka with a productive attack from the left flank did not allow her opponents to increase their advantage. Later, Witkowska and Stysiak scored two points in a row, while Biala-Chervona equalized, and later took the lead by six points. By the end of this game, Stefano Lavarini’s wards did not lose the advantage and won 25:17.
Poles probably won in the second set.
The second set began very calmly, and none of the representatives were clearly better, and the Koreans and Poles completed their attacks. With the score at 6:6, Magdalena Stisiak showed an effective attack from the second line, which gave Stefano Lavarini’s charges a one-point advantage, and in the next action, a scoring block allowed Byalo-Chervona to rebound by two points. Unfortunately, this advantage was quickly eliminated by the Korean players and the score became 9:9. Luckily, Stysiak and Górecka gave us a two-point lead, which Agnieszka Korneliuk increased later with a scoring block.
With the score at 16:10, Stefano Lavarini made a double substitution, while Monika Galkowska and Katarzyna Wienerska took the field, replacing Magdalena Stisiak and Joanna Volosz. True, after this replacement, the advantage of the polka decreased, therefore, with the score 17:14, Stefano Lavarini asked for a break. Unfortunately, the Korean scored a serve point right after it. Fortunately, Olivia Ruzhansky interrupted this series with an attack from the left flank. This set ended with the score 25:18.

In the third set, the Koreans began to make up for the losses of the previous two games. True, the Asians took the lead 3:1, but quickly lost it after unforced errors and after an ace by Stysiak. With the score at 10:10, Byalo-Chervony caught a moment of shortness of breath and missed two attacks, but, fortunately, a moment later they made up for lost time and scored six points in a row. With the score at 16:12, Venerska messed up the serve and ended this impressive streak of winning goals in a row. The Poles won this set with a score of 25:16.
Byalo-Chervona will play the next game with the Dominican Republic on September 29, and the last game in this group stage, Stefano Lavarini’s wards will play with Turkey on October 1.
