However, the Kielce team greatly complicated the situation at the beginning of the meeting. Sasha Balić fouled Luis Miguel sharply in the 11th minute, and referee Sebastian Krasny had to drop Montenegro off the field after VAR analysis.
Warta, who played in favor of one player, dominated the field, but could not take advantage of it. There were no shots on goal and Konrad Forenc was on the alert with those few. The Corona goalkeeper would have had nothing to say in the 17th minute, but Miguel hit the crossbar from a few meters away.
The crown helped where Warta could not. In the 35th minute, Adrian Danek jumped into the penalty area and played the ball with his hand. Michal Kopciński replaced the penalty with an accurate shot, although Forenc was very close to defending from this shot.
The last minutes, however, belonged to the hosts, who, despite the absence of one player, kept in the Warta penalty area. Kirill Petrov had the best opportunity to equalize, but the ball after his shot to the head stopped at the post, and before the break the team from Poznan was in the lead with one goal.
Warta with second win of the season
The crown rushed to the attack immediately after the break, but she only had enough strength for a few minutes. Warta gradually took control of the situation on the field and began to dominate, but also managed to go into dangerous counterattacks several times. However, there was a lack of specifics on both sides, and the bouncers remained unemployed for a long time.
Coach Ojzinski did not lose faith in improving the result and brought in, among other things, from the bench Jacek Kiełb or Luka Zarandia, thanks to which the game moved to the half of the guests and it was not clear that the Kielchans were playing one player less.
In the last minutes, the guests regained control over the field and again began to “exploit” Forenz. Jan Grzeszyk had the best moment, but the Korona goalkeeper, though with difficulty, managed to hit the ball.
The defeat puts Corona in tenth place with a score of seven. Warta, thanks to the second victory of the season, has only one “eye” less and is two positions lower. Wisla Plock remains the leader, ahead of Stal Mielec and Pogon-Szczecin.
