President Volodymyr Zelenskywho spoke in Brussels in the European Parliament, took part in a special meeting of the European Council, and also, together with its head Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, spoke to the press.
He called the building of unity one of the main results of interaction between Ukraine and the EU, in particular, regarding the fact that the European Union will be with Ukraine until its victory, and Ukraine will be in the EU, the presidential press service noted.
In particular, he thanked the partners for the provided air defense systems, noting that it is in the interests of Ukraine and all of Europe to make sure that Russia cannot produce new missiles. Therefore, we need to take one more step and impose sanctions against the entire missile and drone industry in Russia, against that part of their IT industry that provides Russian terror.- Zelensky noted and added that during the meetings “he heard from the leaders of some European states the readiness to provide weapons necessary for Ukraine, in particular, combat aircraft.”
The President also thanked all the leaders and citizens of the European Union for the asylum for Ukrainians who went abroad to escape the war. “Thanks to this support, millions of our citizens and millions of citizens of the European Union saw that our common European values really work”Vladimir Zelensky said.
Recall that during a trip abroad, Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
