It was Zbigniew Hoffmann, a PiS MP from Konin, who had already been a member of the group of political advisers to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki a year ago. He was quickly promoted in state structures, and in June of this year the president appointed him a minister without portfolio. As Fakta managed to find out, a few months ago Zbigniew Hoffmann was invited to a meeting of the Political Committee to report on some issue, and … it remained that way.
This politician is one of the confidants of Jarosław Kaczynski, to whom he entrusts various complex and discretionary missions. One of them was to continue to supervise the work of the Committee of the Council of Ministers on National Security and Defense in the government. Hoffmann became the secretary of this committee. Previously, while in government, Yaroslav Kaczynski headed this unit.
As unofficially reported by “Fact”, Zbigniew Hoffmann was among the people elected to replace Michal Dvorczyk and manage the office of the Prime Minister.
Who is Zbigniew Hoffmann?
Zbigniew Hoffman connected his entire political life with Yaroslav and Lech Kaczynski. Already in 1991, he joined the Central Agreement and became the director of the Office of the Provincial Board of the PC in Poznań. In 1997, he became an assistant to the voivode, and when the Law and Justice party came to power in 2006, he received the seat of Wielkopolska voivode.
In 2009-2010, when Lech Kaczynski was president, he worked for the National Security Bureau and the President’s Office. In 2015, he was appointed governor of Greater Poland, from where he resigned in 2019 when he joined the Sejm.
