Poland purchased 48 “Crabs”. We know the price

This is not the only purchase of equipment for the Polish army, which the Ministry of National Defense will announce this week in Kielce. According to the Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, September 6, additional contracts for the purchase of equipment for the army will be signed. It goes, among other things, artillery reconnaissance vehicles for the Rak firing modules, control cabins for the Vistula system, Yelch vehicles and optoelectronic equipment.

– I always emphasize that, if possible, we order military equipment from the Polish arms industry, and this applies to the Crabs, which have proven themselves in the war and are an effective weapon in the defense of Ukraine in the hands of Ukrainians. Therefore, I approved another contract, which is an order for 48 howitzer guns and 36 escort vehicles. The value of the contract is more than 3 billion 800 million zł, Blaszczak said.

The Crab cannon is highly valued by Ukrainians, who use this technique to defend their country. In May, Poland handed over 18 Crabs to the Ukrainians, and an agreement was signed for the purchase of about 50 more. The equipment works well on the battlefield and helps the Ukrainians.

– We all perfectly understand the dangers, we understand that the rulers of Moscow decided to recreate the evil empire. Our task is precisely to strengthen the Polish armed forces. I especially emphasize that this activity is carried out consistently, this is an investment in our security, this is an investment in the security of our Motherland, the head of the Ministry of National Defense said.

At the conclusion of the contract, President Andrzej Duda was also present, who stated that “our soldier must be armed to the teeth so that no one attacks us and that these weapons never have to be used in combat practice.”

– Crabs have their own renaissance, they are praised by Ukrainians, and there will certainly be many people at this fair who want to buy this Polish product. There is much to rejoice. It’s good that the Polish army can finally buy good quality Polish equipment. To be honest, for many years there was a problem with this, because Polish defense enterprises produced shoes and pressed them, because they are Polish,” General Roman Polko tells Fakt.

These howitzer cannons are highly mobile and can quickly change firing position. Their accuracy is another advantage.

– “Crabs” – an effective, modern weapon. The Ukrainians have already tested “Crabs” on the battlefield, they are asking for more. You can see that these weapons are of great importance on the battlefield, so this experience also encourages Poland to arm themselves with these modern weapons. But, of course, it doesn’t end with Krabs. Many other elements are needed to modernize the armed forces, and such a plan is being implemented. What is happening in Ukraine is a good sign for Polish defense plants. Finally, they will be able to produce something that works well, says General Polko.
