He also points out that such an attack does not necessarily mean that war has been declared on NATO. Russia, as usual, can blame everything on a hardware failure or play even more brazenly.

The general has advice on how to stop Russia

Strikes so close to the Polish borders carry another threat. The Polish missile defense system, even seeing missiles flying from the east, cannot react until they cross the border. And to remedy this, he calls on NATO to act as soon as possible.

- NATO should establish a missile defense zone in the border zone on the territory of Ukraine, announcing to Russia that if such strikes occur near the NATO border, we will establish such a zone in a few days and will shoot down all missiles of this type over Western Ukraine, - Stanislav Kozey believes .

And although no one is officially talking about using such a solution, the Ukrainian side will almost certainly applaud it. At the beginning of the war, she herself turned to NATO with a request to impose a ban on flights throughout Ukraine. The Alliance could not agree to such a decision, as it would mean direct participation in the war. According to General Kozei, the missile defense zone does not pose such a threat.

“I believe that this is possible and NATO should at least consider such a decision, prepare and tell Russia that it has been determined that if such an attack is repeated near the NATO border, such a zone will be introduced,” the military emphasizes.
