Discount in Obayteka? Experts dispel hopes: “the stations will not be much cheaper”
Obaitek spoke at a church in Gdansk
Photos from Gdansk show that the prayers for the merger of Lotos and Orlen were very solemn. During the service, two crosses were also marked, which in 2003 were consecrated by John Paul II.
At the start of the press conference, Obaitek was asked when drivers would see the logo change at gas stations. He replied that the company would not do so in “an incredible rush.” - More than 100 stations will be renamed and adapted to our systems. The remaining stations are under repair conditions for 5 years. After these years, we will decide. We are the owners of the Lotos logo and we will decide if this logo will remain,” Obaitek said.

Tusk on the merger of Lotos and Orlen: “We are dealing with one of the biggest scandals in the history of independent Poland”
Obaitek’s enthusiasm is not shared by former Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He commented on this issue on Tuesday, August 2, in Mikolov.
“When it comes to the merger between Orlen and Lotos, and soon PGNiG, we are dealing with one of the biggest scandals in the history of independent Poland after 1989,” Tusk said.
The head of the Civic Platform commented on the controversy associated with the Hungarian concern MOL, which should take over part of the Lotos stations.
Portal Wirtualna Polska reported that Zsolt Hernady, president of the Hungarian concern MOL, was prosecuted under a European arrest warrant. The Polish army has announced that Ernadi has been sentenced to two years in prison in Croatia for bribing the country’s prime minister.
“With such a person, with such a company, Obaitek and his leaders, because it was with the consent of President Kaczynski, led to the sale of Polish gas stations to such a person,” Tusk said.
