An infusion of mallow flowers is often used for infections of the throat and respiratory tract. It contains natural mucus that covers the throat, creating a protective layer on it and enveloping the throat. Thanks to this, pain is relieved, unpleasant dryness in the throat disappears.
What is a mallow flower?
Mallow (or wood mallow or wild mallow) grows throughout Poland in meadows and forest clearings. It is a plant commonly found in Europe and Asia Minor. It grows up to 1 meter tall, has fleshy hairy green leaves and beautiful purple flowers.
In folk medicine, mallow flowers have long been used to relieve ailments caused by upper respiratory tract infections, sore throats and coughs.

How to use mallow infusion?
You can get mallow from a pharmacy or organic food store. To prepare an infusion that soothes a sore throat, it is enough to pour 1 teaspoon of dried leaves with boiling water and let it brew under the lid for about 15 minutes. After this time, you can drink it.
Infusion of mallow flowers is safe for children. It can be used in children over 1 year of age who attend a nursery or kindergarten and are at risk of infection.
