The transfer of Storm Shadow cruise missiles across the UK to Ukraine does not eliminate the need for fighter jets for the Ukrainian army.
Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak wrote about this on Telegram.
“The issue of missiles does not eliminate the need for aircraft. F-16 for Ukraine will provide an opportunity to close the sky, deprive the enemy of tools for civil terror “- emphasized the representative of the OP.
According to Yermak, Russian aviation should not be in Ukrainian airspace.
“The sooner we do this together, the sooner we will win,” Yermak added.
Recall, on May 11, it became known that Ukraine received several Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles from the UK ahead of the counteroffensive. According to British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, Storm Shadow, in particular, will complement the HIMARS and Harpoon missiles, as well as Ukraine’s own Neptune cruise missile and other long-range weapons transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to military expert, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan, Storm Shadow missiles can destroy the Crimean bridge almost from the first strike.
And the dismissal of the occupied Crimea, according to military experts, is the most important task for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Then the Black Sea Fleet and the Russian Air Force will not be able to be in Crimea and attack Ukrainian territory from there.
