On April 21, the next meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine, better known as Ramstein, is scheduled. The event provides our country with unprecedented support. About how the previous meetings ended and what significance they have for the upcoming counteroffensive, he told Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine in 2005-2010, Army General Mykola Malomuzh in an interview with The Observer.
“American analysts, the Pentagon, the CIA and other State Department experts indicate that in the near future there is the prospect of offensive actions, the launch of a strategic operation. This is not just defense and counterattacks, for example, in the area of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Kremennaya.
Having prepared all the forces and means, competently planning strategic offensive operations, taking into account the supply of Western weapons agreed upon at the last Ramsteins, creating a factor of surprise and conditions for disorienting the enemy, even taking into account the decoding of secret materials - all this will potentially provide an opportunity for success“, - says General Malomuzh.
According to the military, the preparations for the counteroffensive are of decisive importance for the last two Rammsteins - the ninth and tenth, at which the decision was made to move on to the liberation of our territories.
“This package is half the total military assistance provided by our allies during the previous year. This is a sharp increase in armored vehicles, tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled guns, missile systems, ammunition, long-range missiles, air defense systems, engineering forces for the effective passage of interference, ” he said.
At the eleventh Ramstein, according to Malomuzh, the theme of fighters for Ukraine will sound more clearly, and the group will finalize the “bottlenecks” found in the process of supplying weapons, equipment and ammunition.
“All the forces and means of our Western partners will be directed to support Ukraine, in particular online. Intelligence is also working here, which provides the entire layout of Russia, from their plans to the movement of reserves, the deployment of troops on front lines and weaknesses that the Ukrainian army can use.“, - added Malomuzh.
