Kiev District Court of Kharkov found the man guilty of high treason. FACTS learned about this from the published verdict in the Unified Register of Court Decisions.
The accused is a native of the Bryansk region, who lived in Kharkov for a long time and has Ukrainian citizenship. The man worked in the local metal and welding laboratory as a repair engineer.
According to the materials of the case, from March 8 to March 15 last year, he transmitted to the representative of the aggressor country - a serviceman of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, via Telegram, information about the location of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, its quantity and name, information about the location of personnel. He indicated in the messages about their movement around Kharkov, named the exact places, with the corresponding marks on the Google map, hits by artillery and aviation ammunition fired by the RF Armed Forces, which allowed the Russian military to coordinate the delivery of fire strikes on the city.
Interrogated at the hearing, the accused did not admit his involvement. He explained to the servants of Themis that a stranger who introduced himself as Igor wrote to him on his personal mobile phone, with whom he began to correspond on general topics. During the conversation, a resident of Kharkov told the latter that in the area of his place of work he came under fire. However, he did not transmit any information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, did not send screenshots. The presence of a photo with marks on Google maps in the internal memory of the phone explained that it was he who was set up by the special services. However, the traitor’s guilt was confirmed by written and physical evidence provided by the prosecution.
The man was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all his property.
Recall that a collaborator was caught in Liman, who brought missiles to a school and a hospital.
