The Russian Armed Forces have deployed large volumes of automotive fuel throughout the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, which indicates the preparation of a possible provocation with the organization of a fire. This was announced on his Facebook page by the head of the Center for Defense Reforms, coordinator of the interdepartmental platform for countering hybrid threats, which operates within the framework of Ukraine-NATO cooperation, citing a source in Ukrainian intelligence. Alexander Danilyuk.
“Ukrainian intelligence sources at the ZNPP report that the Russians, contrary to safety precautions, have placed significant amounts of automobile fuel throughout the plant.”- the message says.
“A provocation with the organization of a fire is possible,” - said the head of the COR.
“This is also indicated by the dispatch to the station of additional units of the RKhBO (Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - Ed.)”, - summed up Alexander Danilyuk.
Recall that Russia refused to remove weapons from the territory of the ZNPP. Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasil Nebenzya, said that Russia needs weapons to “protect” the seized nuclear power plant from “terrorist attacks.”
Earlier, the UN Secretary General called for the establishment of a security perimeter around the ZNPP and the withdrawal of Russian troops. António Guterres stressed that the nuclear power plant should not be used as part of any military operation.
The US also called for the creation of a demilitarized zone around the ZNPP and the withdrawal of the Russian military.
Russia places explosives, artillery, armored vehicles near the nuclear power plant, ignoring safety rules. In addition, the Russian military began to organize provocations in Energodar in order to accuse the Ukrainian military of shelling the nuclear power plant.
