“The informer must have been someone who handled the day-to-day business of the residence.” Someone who knew where the documents were, that is, was very close to the president himself, says Mick Mulvaney (55), former White House chief of staff. “There can’t be more than six or eight of them,” he says, although he has no idea who the traitor could be.

Attorney General Merrick Garland kept quiet about the investigation. It wasn’t until Thursday that he announced that his ministry had taken the extraordinary step of demanding that the search warrant be released along with a list of items seized during the search. This is a response to Trump’s allegations that the FBI and prosecutors accuse them of abuse.
Trump quickly responded to Garland’s statement.
- My lawyers and representatives cooperated fully, very good relations were established. The authorities could have everything they wanted if we had it,” the ex-president wrote on social networks, suggesting that documents were planted in his residence. - We were asked to install additional security in a specific place, we complied with this request. Everything was good, better than most previous presidents. And then, out of nowhere and without warning, a huge number of agents and even a crowbar attacked Mar-a-Lago.
Trump sees himself as a victim of the deal
So it looks like the fight is just getting started. Republicans believe that the FBI was used to attack a political opponent, and therefore demand the creation of a commission to investigate this case and the dismissal of the attorney general.
Trump himself also uses strong words:
“I spoke out against bureaucratic corruption in America, restored people’s sense of power, and delivered on my promises to voters like no other president before me,” he wrote online Thursday. - The system hates it. Now that they’re seeing the candidates I support winning the primaries and watching me dominate all the polls, they’re trying to stop me and the Republican Party again. Lawlessness, political persecution and witch hunts must be exposed and stopped.
