Say what season 2 Sandman fans of the fantasy series are looking forward to it - that’s probably the biggest understatement you can say. For decades a series of graphic novels Neil Gaiman was considered impossible to adapt until Gaiman himself broke his knuckles and worked with Netflix to bring his stories to life. So let’s not take this news lightly: India Moore joined the series for next season!

The announcement is not official, but photos from the set do not allow to dispute the fact that the actor will appear in at least one episode. In the published pack of photographs of Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) is in the graveyard with his sister Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) so that he could spend another working day with Death. However, Moore can also be seen on the spot, which may indicate that they are either “clients” visited by Death or simply traveling.

Moore rose to prominence after landing the breakout role of Angel on the FX series LGBTQIA+. POSE. After that, they starred in such feature films as Room Escape: Tournament of Champions And Nanny’s Guide to Monster Hunting. They recently honed their voice-over skills with roles in Marvel Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Netflix Nimon.

Sandman Season 2 probably won’t be called “Season 2”

Photos from the shoot also make it clear that Sandman will continue to strive to keep the cast as diverse as possible, and Moore is certainly a welcome addition to the series. It’s still too early to tell what stories will be adapted in the second season, which Netflix doesn’t even want to call a second season, as Gaiman has indicated that the non-linear structure of graphic novels will certainly play a role in future episodes. However, knowing that Death is in the episode certainly helps narrow the search.

It’s not that we doubt it, but the photos from the shooting confirm that the really new episodes from Sandman were supposed to start filming this summer. A couple of months ago, when the WGA strike began, fans were wondering if this would affect the production of new episodes, but Gaiman publicly revealed that the episodes had already been written. Gaiman also ensured that there would be no rewrites, and if the production team realized that the story needed to be changed, they would either sidestep it or stop entirely.

Netflix has yet to reveal details about upcoming episodes of the series. Sandman, including the number of episodes, new actors and stories that will be covered this time. Gaiman has already confirmed that fan-favorite Delirium will appear at some point, but no information has been given on who will play the Infinite brother. What we know is that the actors Vivien Achempong (Lucien) Mason Alexander Park (Wish) and Gwendolyn Christie (Lucifer) are ready to return.

You can stream all episodes from Sandman on Netflix.
