“It’s a tough question because when you’re on set with Christopher Nolan, I assure you, you don’t understand what can haunt him or inspire any kind of fear because he’s such a great leader. So you just feel the confidence coming from him that it’s not ego and it’s not pride. It’s just real confidence that he has a story to tell and you’re lucky to be part of the truth.”

Christopher Nolan’s confidence makes him a great director

As an industry veteran, Dastmalchyan has had the opportunity to work with dozens of talented directors. The star is part of the major superhero franchises appearing in the MCU. Ant-Man trilogy and James GunnX Suicide Squad. At the same time, Dastmalchyan is also stealing the scene in films like Animals, prisonersAnd Blade Runner 2049. He has done everything that gives him a unique perspective on what makes a great director. And according to Datmalchian:

“I have been so blessed. I’ve worked with David Lynch, James Gunn and Chris Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Peyton Reed, Rob Savage. So many! It’s embarrassing because I know I’ll forget to tell someone. But the only link that unites them all, and Rob has it, is confidence in his vision. They know what they need to achieve. They know what every scene is about. They know the tone, the world they’re building, and they can have different ways to bring it to life, different styles, different energies.

That’s great, but once you get in the ring with them and you know they know exactly where they need to get you to and that they can help get you there with the power of both their training, their discipline, their hard work, their talent and this magical gift helps you to just give yourself to what they need.
