Nearly four decades of Mogwai gremlins, the classic 1980s horror movie (family friendly) had no origin story, but things have changed. new cartoon, Gremlins: Mogwai Mysteries, showed us the story of how little Gizmo ended up with Mr. Wing (or Sam, as this series shows) in a strange shop in Chinatown. In the first episode of the original Max series, Gizmo lives in a small Mogwai utopia deep in the forest and coexists happily.
It is dismayed when a giant bird grabs Gizmo and flies away with him. Gizmo escapes, but falls into the clutches of a traveling circus. Grandpa Sam’s Wing explains that the creature in the circus is called the Mogwai, which no one has seen for hundreds of years, but the last time they encountered them, people died and cities burned. Sam and his grandfather then must find a way to bring Gizmo back home.
After an amazing debut, we can share an exclusive clip from Episode 3 titled “Always Buy a Ticket” which will premiere on Thursday, June 1 alongside Episode 4. Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp, Fresh off the Boat, Aquaman), in the episode Sam, El and Gizmo try to run away from a supernatural stranger who is stalking them on a train ride. Episode 4 - “Don’t Drink Tea” - shows how our heroes are stranded in a deserted countryside during a raging storm, seeking shelter from an innkeeper who seems suspiciously friendly and bizarrely obedient guests staying inside.
What is the background Gremlins?
In 1984 Joe Dante released gremlins, one of the strangest yet beloved and memorable family Christmas movies of all time. Billy PeltzerZach Galligan) gets a wide-eyed, long-eared creature named Gizmo, called Mogwai, bought from Mr. Wing, but owning a new “pet” comes with very specific and specific rules. Don’t get wet. If you do, it will multiply quickly. Don’t put it in sunlight. This will kill him. And never, ever feed the Mogwai after midnight. Unless you want hell to fall on your small town. Gizmo returns to Mr. Wing at the end of the film, before Mr. Wing’s death in its sequel. Gremlins 2: New Batch. But now we have the opportunity to see the whole history of our beloved Mogwai.
The series’ voice cast includes Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, B. D. Wong, Matthew Rhys, Isaac Wang and Gabriel Nevea. The series will also feature well-known guest stars, including Zach Galligan. Additional guest voices include Sandra Oh, George Takei and Bowen Young.
