After the man himself evaded answering this question, Elizabeth Olsen now confirmed that Daniel Craig was supposed to appear with her as Baldur the Brave last year Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. For a while, there were rumors about the alleged inclusion of Craig in the film, but Olsen is the first star on the screen to confirm this information.

During an interview with Josh Horowitz on his Happy, sad, confused podcast, Horowitz, reflecting on Olsen’s career and time with Marvel in the MCU, mentioned her work with John Krasinski as Reed Richards in the film. Olsen confirmed that she never actually worked with Krasinski on the film, which she also stated during a polygraph test with Vanity Fair at the time of release.

Horowitz then mentioned that while talking to Craig on the same podcast, he asked the James Bond star if he should appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although Craig remained silent on the matter. Olsen, who has recently been candid about her recent misgivings about the MCU’s scripting process, had no qualms about staying diplomatic. “Yeah, I thought so too,” she said. “I have seen art. They made a suit. They had a design.”

Who is Balder the Brave?

Olsen is certainly not the first to mention the character Baldur the Brave. Graham Cemetery, costume designer who worked with Olsen on Multiverse Madness, confirmed during an interview with ComicBook.com’s Phase Zero podcast that Baldr was nearly featured in the film. “Yeah, we got very far into developing Baldr the Brave, and then we waited and waited and waited for the casting, and now, I brought it to the prototype stage,” Churchard said. “We were sort of designing, collecting fabrics and ideas and waiting for the actor. Poor Balder the Brave.”

In the Marvel Comics sequel, Balder the Brave is Thor’s half-brother and the son of Odin and Freya. Like most Marvel Asgardians, the character comes from Norse mythology, where he is known as Balder.

Olsen is expected to return as Wanda Maximoff in the upcoming Disney+ show. Agatha: Chaos Coven. Given that the show is leading Jack Schaeffermind behind WandaVisionI hope Wanda is shaken with a stick better than at the time Multiverse of Madness.
