Netflix’s top 10 charts topped this week with love as Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story and YA romantic comedy HO, Kitty fainting of the audience on May 15-21. Queen Charlotte ranked first among English TV shows once again with 82.39 million additional hours watched and top ten listings for 89 countries. It’s been almost a month since the show debuted, but the time doesn’t seem to match the romance of Queen Charlotte and King George.
HO, Kitty ranked second considering its much shorter runtime, with 72.1 million hours watched in its first week. Spin-off To all the boys I’ve loved before, the show sheds light on Kitty Song Covey, the youngest of the three Covey sisters. In it, Kitty is chasing what she considers the love of her life, a Korean boy named Dae, whom she met at a movie. So Kitty heads to South Korea, attending the same school as Dae - and her late mother. Along the way, she unravels her mother’s past, discovers how messy love can be, and learns more about herself.
From a film standpoint, Jennifer Lopez-vel Mother broke into first place among English-language films. The film, which premiered on May 12, follows Lopez’s character, a killer on the run who comes out of hiding to protect her long-abandoned daughter. The film seemed to resonate with 94.42 million hours watched and ranked as the most viewed film of the week. It has 90 million views (178.1 million watch hours divided by 1.96 hours of play). Netflix Original Documentary Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Medebuted on May 16, ranked second with 15.65 million views.
What other English titles have made the charts?
Both TV and movie charts saw a mix of new and returning titles on their listings. For TV firefly lane The second season took third place. Sale Sunset Season 6 (22.78 million views) and documentaries McGregor forever (20.85 million hours) debuted in fourth and fifth places. Other returning shows include seasons 1 and 2 Bridgerton, Night agentseason 2 sweet toothand documentaries Missing: dead or alive. As far as cinema is concerned, A man named Otto returned to fourth place after Ted in third. Dutch psychological thriller for non-English titles. Yours sincerely debuted with 29.06 million views, joined by other new titles including a French family film. Asterix and Obelix: Celestial and dramedy in Hindi Catal - Jackfruit Mystery. Returning titles to the list include satire ¡Que viva Mexico!norwegian drama Royalteen: Princess Margretheand French action adventure AKA is the fourth most played game with 107.63 million views. For television Korean post-apocalyptic series Black Knight topped the rankings with 35.11 million hours watched. spanish drama muted was a very close second with 35.1 million views. Returning series include Korean dramas. Good bad mother And Dr. ChaTurkish drama Tailoras well as seasons 1 and 2 of the Colombian series marked heart.
