An explosive collision is approaching this summer when Transformers: Rise of the Beasts finally hitting the big screen. The new issue will feature new characters who will debut in the franchise during a timeline that has never been explored in transformers series before. Anthony Ramos plays Noah Diaz, a former military electronics expert who is trying to make a living in Brooklyn. During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor spoke about the expectations surrounding the big screen debut of one of the brand’s most recognizable antagonists, Unicron:
“I was excited to see new characters come to life and people get to know them, like Mirage, Rhinox, Cheetor and Optimus Primal. movies, and now we can talk about Unicron. For fans like people who really love transformersit means a lot to them - they’ve been wanting to see these characters for years, especially Unicron.
And on top of that, you know, you have two kids from the block, you know what I mean? Run, save the world, travel, drive from Brooklyn to Peru.”
IN Rise of the Beaststhings will get a little more complicated for a universe that started with the premise of giant robots that could transform into vehicles. Noah and Elena (Dominic Fishback) will stumble upon an ancient technology that will be in high demand among transformers. This time around, four robot factions will be taking part in the battle, with the Autobots, Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons as part of the coming conflict. To make things easier for viewers, each faction will have a very distinct look based on the creatures they can transform into.
And Ramos has plenty of reason to be wary of Unicron’s debut. Spectators watched time after time as the Autobots clashed with Megatron. Mark Wahlbergthe character even encounters what appears to be the character’s reincarnation during the events Transformers: Age of Extinction. But Optimus Prime and his friends have yet to face a threat like Unicron. In its origin, established in transformers cartoons that aired decades ago and their follow-up animated film, Unicron was a large robot that continued to grow until it became so massive that it could devour reality.
Franchise expansion begins
Even if Noah, Elena and Optimus have no idea what to do against the mighty Unicron, Paramount Pictures already planning the future of the franchise after a long hiatus due to performances and reception regarding Transformers: The Last Knight. After Rise of the Beasts influences cinemas, the studio will focus on producing an animated film set in the world of the franchise. Name Transformers One, the project should debut on the big screen next year. The voice cast for this project will include Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett JohanssonAnd Jon Hamm.
