Second season of highly anticipated Freeform comedy Lonely drunk woman is on the horizon. TV series stars Sofia Black-D’Elia like Sam, a 28-year-old alcoholic who is forced to return home after hitting rock bottom in life. Hilarious, fresh and hilarious, the series has won the hearts and attention of fans thanks to its great performances, comedic moments and touching storyline. The network has released a trailer for the second season, which brings familiar faces and eccentric situations back to our screens.
In the new trailer, Sam is looking for a new place with his best friend, Brit. It seems that Sam has finally got things under control as she celebrates her 29th birthday, she has a job and a boyfriend. But everything will fall apart. In the first season, Sam began her journey to sobriety and was forced to return to her overbearing mother, Carol. Now, in the upcoming season, we’ll see that she already has a year and a half of sobriety under her belt, but she quickly learns that sometimes life has other plans and she has to figure out “how to make a change where she can, sit in her discomfort when she can’t, and maybe even enjoy the ride.”
Fans applauded the series for its clear portrayal of sobriety mixed with impeccable comedic situations. Sam’s struggles involve her relationship with her best friend, mother, and the world around her. It will be very interesting to see how a sober Sam navigates life on her own terms, overcoming her grief and managing to keep going to A.A. meetings.
