It’s 2023 and the female superhero characters are still working to earn the respect they deserve. There are so many male superheroes out there that it’s honestly hard to keep track of. Although they are gorgeous, it’s time for women to get attention.
Whether they can brandish a giant magical mace like Hawkgirl or fight crime in and out of court like She-Hulk, these badass female characters deserve their chance to shine.
black canary
Black Canary, a DC comic book superhero, has appeared in several live and animated television shows. In 2002, she appeared in the short-lived television series Predator birds on The WB and was on a CW show Smallville. Most recently J.Urni Smollett-Bell portrayed her in the 2020 film Predator birds.
Black Canary is the poster woman for badass female superheroes. She is the founder of the Birds of Prey, is proficient in virtually all hand-to-hand combat techniques, and has a nifty signature sonic scream dubbed the “Canary Cry”. Despite serving as the commander of the Justice League and the League of Assassins, she is constantly underestimated by her enemies.
Crow
Originally from DC comics, Raven is a superheroine who has appeared in several animated films. Teen Titans series, including Teen Titans Go on Cartoon Network, voiced by Tara Strong. She also starred in the series Titans on HBO Max.
Raven is the daughter of the sky demon Trigon and a strong empath: this trait extends to one of her most powerful abilities when she absorbs the pain of an injured person, healing them. Well trained in the supernatural arts and capable of time travel, shadow manipulation and telekinesis, Raven is one of the best.
Valkyrie
Yes, Valkyrie is making a name for herself in the Thor films, but that’s not all. Tessa Thompson portrays Valkyrie in the MCU films Thor: Ragnarok Avengers: Endgameand Thor: Love and Thunder.
One of the elite warriors of Asgard, appointed by the Allfather Odin himself, the Valkyrie is not one to trifle with. One of her signature abilities is to detect someone’s “death glow”, an aura that indicates when someone’s death is imminent. She handles her sword, the Dragonfang, like no other, and her innate combat prowess is among the best of all Asgardians.

Hawkgirl from DC Comics has seen various incarnations, all with ancient weapons and artificial wings. She appeared in the series Smallvillepictured Sugar BinyazAnd in Arrow Universefrom Ciara Rene.
Hawkgirl possesses the wisdom of multiple lifetimes in battle and superhuman strength, super-sharp vision, and enhanced healing abilities. She also wields a cool alien metal mace that can generate electrical currents and deflect magical energy.
Zealot
Zealot, also known as Lady Zannah, comes from DC comics. Lady Zannah has yet to make the big leap to the big or small screen. She really appeared as one of the central characters of the half-hour animated series, Wild catswhich lasted one season. Given the show’s familial qualities, Lady Zanna couldn’t be true to her comic book portrayal.
Lady Zannah possesses enhanced strength, stamina, and mental toughness that are far beyond human capabilities. She is also well versed in dark magic and is proficient with firearms, telepathy, and teleportation.
Gamora
Another MCU character, Gamora, Zoe Saldanha plays her in guardians of the galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgameand upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Gamora has enhanced speed, strength, skills, and stamina. She also supports a regenerative repair element, allowing her to recover faster than others. She can also kick ass as one of the MCU’s most competent and skilled martial artists.
Fox
Vixen from DC Comic is a superheroine who appears in animated series such as Justice League Actionvoices Jasika Nicoleand Justice League Unlimitedvoices Gina Torres.
Vixen has yet to get the adoration she deserves. The fox can communicate directly with any animal that has ever lived on Earth. By simply concentrating on a particular animal, Vixen is able to mimic its abilities, granting himself various superhuman powers. She also carries a magical relic called the Tantu Totem, a fox-head talisman passed down to her ancestors by the trickster god Akan Anansi.
Susan Storm
The Invisible Woman (Susan “Sue” Storm-Richards) is a Marvel comic book superhero. She is one of the founding members of the Fantastic Four, Rebecca Staab, Jessica Albaand Kate Mara all played different versions of the character in the films.
Sue is great and is an outstanding member of the band she founded. She has two abilities: invisibility and the creation of a force field. Sue can also sense people or objects that have become invisible and return them to a visible state at will. Her force fields can be used both offensively and defensively, hitting enemies or absorbing deadly explosions and blows.
She-Hulk
Jennifer “Jen” Walters is She-Hulk from Marvel. Recently, Tatiana Maslany portrayed her in the 2022 Disney+ series. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Prior to this, Jen had only appeared in a few animated television shows.
She-Hulk is cool. She was a member of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Heroes for Hire, the Defenders, the Fantastic Force, and S.H.I.E.L.D. In addition, she is a highly qualified lawyer (in her spare time). She practically destroyed the Thing with her bare hands and pierced the Invisible Woman’s force field.

DC comic book superheroine Starfire (Princess Koriand’r) is a member of the Teen Titans, as is Raven. Starfire is one of the central characters in the film. Teen Titans Go! To the cinemavoices Hynden Walch and appears as a main character in the series Titanspictured Anna Diop.
Starfire can fly at supersonic speeds and can use this ability to fly through space. She is free-thinking and adores everyone, regardless of the earth species, race or gender of a person. This makes her truly incredibly cool.
