fans Harrison FordCult hero Indiana Jones can rejoice in the fact that not only has a new teaser trailer and poster for the fifth installment of the legendary adventure franchise been unveiled, but a selection of exclusive images have also been released by Disney from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. images James MangoldThe director’s film, due in theaters on June 30, 2023, includes a look at the much-discussed elderly Harrison Ford.
The images in question are various stills from the exciting teaser trailer that LucasFilm debuted today, which has racked up over 20,000 views and continues to grow half an hour after it aired on YouTube. The first image shows Ford’s Indiana Jones in silhouette, his iconic hat in plain sight in an underground location reminiscent of previous Indiana Jones movies. Next, the aforementioned digitally rejuvenated Ford is depicted discreetly in Nazi uniform in what appears to be a failed undercover operation. The image is taken from the opening sequence of the film, which takes place in a German castle in 1944 before the main events of the film unfold in 1969.
Other images from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Doom showcase new faces of the franchise who will join the iconic Ford character on his adventures in the late sixties. Among those depicted are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Tobie Jones, as well as Mads Mikkelsen. Waller Bridge portrays the goddaughter of Indiana Jones, and there is speculation that her character will take over the reins of the franchise after this film. Mikkelsen is a Nazi who works for NASA but still adheres to World War II fascist ideologies, and Banderas serves as an ally of Indiana Jones. Further images, released to stir up hype around the hotly anticipated film, show Jones Harrison Ford in his older, wise 1969 look, still in his iconic costume, still ready for a thrilling adventure.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Doom will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023. Starring stalwart Harrison Ford in the title role and directed by James Mangold. Steven Spielberg did not make a film in the franchise. Spielberg and George Lucas act as executive producers and John Williams returns to the franchise again to create his iconic cinematic soundtrack. You can see new stills from the film below:
