Fall is the time for lazy nights, sweater weather, and everything pumpkin-flavored. It’s also the season of horror films and deeply moving films in preparation for awards season. With Netflix, finding a great new movie to watch is easier than ever.
Netflix is home to some of the most popular original movies of all streaming services. There have been several Academy Award nominated Netflix originals such as dog power, Irishmanas well as Don’t look up. The streaming service is also home to the less serious, with plenty of light-hearted movies to watch during the most beautiful time of the year. That’s why Netflix is the perfect choice for new releases on the horizon, and Fall 2022 looks more promising than ever.
“Blonde” (September 23, 2022)
There is no upcoming film that is as discussed among cinephiles as Andrew Dominic biopic of Marilyn Monroe, Blonde. His NC-17 rating was questioned by critics, and Dominic’s choice for the role Ana de Armas since Monroe has been discussed by many.
Although one thing is certain, Blonde will be the freshest look at Monroe’s tragic rise and fall in Hollywood to date. However, this is not a true biopic and has instead been described as an exaggerated interpretation of her life based on Joyce Carol Oates novel of the same name.
“Midnight Club” (October 7, 2022)
Mike Flanagan proved time and time again that he was the new master of horror. Through its many original Netflix series such as The ghosts of the house on the hill, The Haunting of Bly Manoras well as midnight mass, he explored psychological horror, gothic archetypes, and the supernatural. With his newest series, midnight clubhe turns his attention to five terminally ill teenagers.

“The Curse of Bridge Hollow” (October 14, 2022)
If you are looking for an entertaining Halloween family movie, Bridge Hollow Curse will be right in your alley. original name Boo!new Marlon Wayans The film will release right before the spookiest night of the year.
With Wayans at the helm, the film is sure to be both rewarding and hilarious in one piece. Not only that, the creative plot sounds like it could be the new Halloween classic. The film follows a man and his daughter who team up to save their city after an ancient spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and wreak havoc.
“Mother” (expected late 2022)
Jennifer Lopez hasn’t starred in a film since 2019, but 2022 has been a resurgence for her. She has released many films this year, and one of the most anticipated is Mother. The film will be Lopez’s first Netflix film, and it will be big, with a $30 million budget.
Mother was described as John Wick meets Hannah, and he will follow Lopez as a deadly assassin who is forced to flee and abandon his daughter. Years later, she returns to her past to protect her daughter from very dangerous men.
All Quiet on the Western Front (expected late 2022)
All Quiet on the Western Front is one of the most anticipated films of the year, not only on Netflix. It is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and will be released later this year.
The upcoming anti-war film is based on the 1929 film. Erich Maria Remarque novel of the same name. It will be played from the perspective of a young German soldier, Paul Baumer, during World War I. Paul and his friends are caught up in the wave of patriotism that surrounded Germany at the time, and the film will show its brutality.
“Wendell & Wilde” (September 2022)
For the first time since 2009, a well-known animation director, Henry Sellickwill return to Netflix Wendell and Wild. Sellick is known for his masterful work on The nightmare before christmas as well as coralineand fans are in for a real treat with his latest foray into the dark side of life.
This stop-motion film follows two demon brothers named Wendell and Wylde, who enlist the help of a 13-year-old girl to summon them to the Land of the Living. Judging by the teasers for the film, the film will be superbly animated and filled with colorful eccentric characters, just in the spirit of Sellick.
Enola Holmes 2 (November 4, 2022)
2020s Enola Holmes was one of Netflix’s breakout films that year thanks to the charismatic Millie Bobby Brownwho played the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes in this hilarious joke from the late 19th century.
One of the most anticipated sequels of the year is coming to Netflix in November. As in the first film, Enola will not do well and will find herself using her sharp mind to get herself out of sticky situations again. In the sequel, Enola is now a full-fledged detective, and during her first case, she will have to solve the mystery of a missing girl with the help of her friends and, yes, her brother Sherlock.
“Good Nurse” (September 2022)

With several serious acting roles behind him in midsommar, Small womanas well as Lady Macbeth, Florence Pugh will turn to Netflix in his new film, Miracle. And if there’s one thing Pugh does well, it’s period films.
Miracle it’s based on Emma Donoghue a novel of the same name that follows Pugh’s character, Lieb, a British nurse. Lib is brought to a small village to observe a young girl who no longer eats but somehow survives. The film is a psychological thriller set in the 19th century and is based on the “fasting girls” phenomenon that arose at that time. There has even been speculation that this ability was the work of God.
