Sandman is an upcoming Netflix fantasy series based on the author’s comic book series of the same name. Neil Gaiman. After years of development hell as a potential film, it was decided to shift focus to a longer series instead, and Netflix ordered the series in June 2019.
The series ultimately follows the titular Sandman, who goes by Morpheus and Dream. Morpheus is the king of a realm called the Dreaming and belongs to a family known as the Endless, consisting of seven powerful cosmic beings.
In 1916, Morpheus was trapped by humans during an occult ritual, leaving his kingdom without a leader. Finally escaping from captivity 105 years later, in the present day, he seeks to restore order to his shattered kingdom. In doing so, he must confront his past while facing other dangerous mythological and god-like creatures.

Tom Sturridge as Morpheus/Dream
As the King of Dreams, Morpheus is responsible for all the dreams and nightmares we humans experience in the “waking world”. However, after so many years of captivity, these bright creations remained uncontrollable, leaving the Dreaming realm in a state of chaos.
As a cosmic being, Morpheus has tremendous power, but he is not alone in this status. His family members, the Endless, are not on the best of terms, and their relationship is further strained by his capture. Morpheus will need their help to bring order to the Dreaming and protect the waking world from insane nightmares.

Stephen Fry as Fiddler Green/Gilbert
As strange as it may sound, Fiddler’s Green is actually the place in Dreaming that all travelers dream of finding in one day. The place itself has been known to roam the area, taking on human form under the pseudonym Gilbert. As Gilbert, he teams up with Rose to help find her missing brother.
Stephen Fry has appeared in many television shows and films over the past four decades. Some of his television credits include A bit of Fry and Lori, black viperand more recently, screening. In films, he starred in wilde, V stands for vendetta as well as hobbit series.
Razan Jammal as Lita Hall
Lita is one of Rose’s friends who also helps search for her missing brother. She is a young widow mourning her husband, Carter, who began to appear to her in very strange dreams.

Mervyn is a Dreamer who looks like a scarecrow with a gourd lantern head. He is a constantly smoking janitor who works for Morpheus.
Mark Hamill similarly did a lot of work on the voice acting. Some of his roles include the Joker in various DC shows, movies and video games, Firelord Ozai in Avatar: The Last Airbenderand Skips regular show. In live action, he is none other than the iconic Luke Skywalker in star Wars franchise.
