Poland Post sells land. There is some good news for buyers at Allegro.

Must read

The Polish Post is selling parcels worth millions from all over Poland faster and faster. This is necessary to fill a hole in the company’s budget, reports Rzeczpospolita. The postal unions demand an increase of at least PLN 800.

Poczta Polska has been selling its properties for a long time and this is not unusual. However, according to Rzeczpospolita, real estate sales are gaining momentum. Land in the Wola district of Warsaw (only two plots are valued at almost PLN 250 million), in Katowice and Bydgoszcz, has just been auctioned off, and the Warsaw sorting plant has become the collateral for the loan.

It is worrying, the newspaper concludes, that Poczta Polska needs the money not for ambitious investments, but to maintain financial liquidity.

Trade union activists of Poczta Polska go on strike

Employees of the company are aware of the difficult situation. 26 trade unions representing postal workers are demanding an increase in the rate by PLN 800 per month from October, Solidarity raises the rate to PLN 1,000.

“Failure to comply with our request within 14 days will be tantamount to the entry of the union into a collective dispute with the employer,” - written in a communiqué issued by the Trade Union of Postal Workers.

The reason for the strike was low wages. Trade unions report that 70% of Poczta Polska’s more than 60,000 employees receive the minimum wage (PLN 3,600 as of July 1). Therefore, the Free Trade Union of Postal Workers (WZZPP) asked the company’s management to immediately set the lowest salary in the company above the legal minimum. It also requires wages to be indexed to the inflation rate of the previous year or at least 5%.

The company explains that it does not have an additional PLN 600 million to increase, as it is in poor financial condition.

As Rzeczpospolita unofficially established, from January to the end of July, the company’s losses reached 400 million zlotys. The poor results are the result of a rapid decline in postal interest and missed opportunities to compete with carriers like inPost.

Then select the option “I ship from Poland and to Poland”. In turn, in the “Settlement with Allegro” section, select the “Mini-sending Allegro” method. The shipping cost is PLN 3.99.
