Must read

The average monthly salary of specialists and managers was PLN 14,038 gross this year, which is 3 percent more than a year ago, according to the salary report of the recruiting company Antal. The largest increases were received by lawyers and heads of law firms.

Professionals and executives in the legal industry could not complain about the stagnant salaries - their salaries rose by 13 percent. compared to the previous year and amounts to an average of PLN 14,505 gross. Pharmacy was also on the podium with 8% growth. (average PLN 14,637 gross) and banking and insurance, where wages also increased by 8%. (average PLN 13,738). Smallest increase, 1 percent. were registered in the field of information technology (average PLN 18,996 gross), logistics (average PLN 12,317 gross) and sales and marketing (average PLN 13,966 gross).

Surprise in the labor market in the IT sector

- The biggest growth in the legal industry is associated, in particular, with high competition for qualified professionals, especially in the areas of disputes, labor law and taxes. On the other hand, the IT market is experiencing a market correction for the first time in many years. Many IT professionals are surprised by the decrease in the number of job offers, as well as the expansion of recruitment projects. This is due to the fact that there are more candidates on the market, and companies, limiting their budgets, look more closely at the selection of candidates with an organization - comments Artur Skiba, Chairman of the Board of Antal.

What, besides salary, do specialists and managers praise? According to Antal research, one of the most important advantages is the possibility of remote work, despite the fact that the group of employers who agree to this form of work is slowly shrinking (a decrease of 9 p.p. comparing with the previous year). Private medical care and flexible working hours are also highly valued.

The greatest increase in popularity, compared to last year, by 6 percentage points, was expected by the benefit in the form of a company car.

More and more services are happening “outside”

In their report, Antal’s analysts write that “evolution and upward shifts in wages are inevitable in a time when more and more candidates expect higher salaries to maintain the same or higher standard of living given current inflation.” Therefore, companies need to adjust their pay strategies in line with current trends and look for additional non-pay solutions to remain competitive in the labor market. It should be noted that outsourcing is becoming an increasingly popular form of cooperation.

- Entrepreneurs, instead of creating new jobs, choose to outsource mostly simple tasks and processes, which allows them to manage resources more efficiently. According to Antal, as much as 54 percent. specialists and managers at least once used this service. 10 percent of those surveyed use it for more than half of their specialist and executive job needs per year - adds Dominik Kalinowski, head of outsourcing at Antal.
