Law & Justice amends the Auxiliary Benefits Act. The project concerns the introduction of a new type of allowance into the legal system: support allowance. The law defines the conditions for acquiring the right to this benefit, which is addressed to disabled people who are most in need of support, as well as the rules for the provision and payment of this benefit. Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy Pavel Vdovik announced the details today from the rostrum of the Seimas.

– As a result of listening to the voices of disabled people and their guardians, we came up with an amendment that corrects the situation when there is more than one disabled child in a family. This amendment will allow payment of another care allowance in full. This will increase profit by 100%. for each subsequent child said Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy Pavel Vdovik in the Seimas.

Amendment supported by other clubs

The Deputy Minister said that, despite the fact that the Law and Justice made the amendment, he knew that other clubs had similar ideas. He also indicated that he would be happy to change the way we talk about important topics.

The introduction of amendments in the second reading meant that the draft was sent for reconsideration to the Committee on Social Policy and the Family. Most likely, the project after remarks of the commission will again be voted on at the current session of the Diet.
