Trading Sundays in 2023 are extremely rare, but the second is very close. We are reviewing which stores will be open on March 26, as well as what the no-trade calendar will look like in the coming weeks.
In March, five years have passed since the enactment of the law on the restriction of trade on Sundays and public holidays. While stores could initially open on the first and last Sunday of the month, as of 2020, the calendar will only have seven commercial Sundays each year.
Sunday shopping, March 2023 Stores open March 26th.
If you’re wondering if you should shop more on Saturday or if it’s better to wait until Sunday, don’t hesitate. March 26 is another commercial Sunday this year, during which supermarkets will be closed, as well as most premises in shopping centers.
However, the fact that tomorrow there will be a ban on trade does not mean that we will not be able to buy even the most necessary things. According to the current rules, there is a list of establishments that can be opened every Sunday. Therefore, the main purchases will be possible in small local stores, if customers are served by their owner or members of his immediate family. Gas stations and franchise stores such as Żabka and Carrefour Express will also be open.
Shops open every Sunday also include:
-
pharmacies,
-
florists,
-
entertainment place,
-
catering establishments,
-
supermarkets at stations
-
purchases of agricultural products, milk and undergrowth,
-
post offices, where at least 40% of the revenue is postal services,
-
places of sale of fish - in the case of: sale from a fishing vessel, fish farm or when the facility is only engaged in the collection of fish products.
Only a week left until the second trading Sunday of the year
As we already mentioned, the second trading Sunday of this year is very close. Stores will be open on Sunday, April 2. In the week leading up to Easter, we will be shopping both in small local stores and in the largest supermarkets or shopping malls.
Many will be pleased to know that there will be two trading Sundays in April. The next one will fall on April 30 and will precede the May holiday. There will also be Sundays without a trading ban:
-
June 25
-
August 27
-
December 17
-
December 24
