The Easter aid campaign, coordinated by Lidl Polska, Caritas Polska and the Federation of Polish Food Banks, launched on 17 March. It turns out that we still have a chance to participate in it. There will be another food collection in the next two days.
Easter holidays are often associated with considerable expenses. Due to inflation and a sharp rise in prices, not everyone can afford the products of their dreams, from which they will cook their favorite dishes. For this reason, charity events are organized every year to support people in financial difficulties. One of the most famous is the National Food Collection “Tak Pomocm”, organized by Caritas Polska with the support of the Federation of Polish Food Banks and Lidl.
Easter food collection 2023
The collection of Easter products is carried out in selected stores throughout Poland. Volunteers are involved in the action, who line up at special baskets and collect the necessary products from buyers. If you are interested, you can add something of your own. This year, the first such action took place on March 17 and 18. The products were collected from Lidl, Biedronka, Netto, Dino, Tomi Markt and some local stores.
It turns out that this was not the only and last chance to help. Anyone who has not had time to contribute to the fundraiser will still be able to do so. Lidl said that the last Easter food collection is ahead of us, which will take place only in the retail outlets of this chain. On March 24 and 25, baskets will be put up again in which we will put food.
Collecting Easter food at Lidl
A week ago, the gifts collected at Lidl were donated to Caritas Polska, this time the needed items will go to local food banks. It is worth remembering that the promotion applies to selected outlets, but the list is really long. It is best to put products with a long shelf life in baskets. Dry foods are ideal, such as: flour, pasta, rice, sugar, sweets or nuts and dried fruits. It will also be a good idea to buy canned food, butter and preserves.
Ultimately, gifts given by customers during the Easter food gathering will go to people who find themselves in a difficult life situation. Thanks to this, for many in need, the upcoming holidays will be even better than usual. Lidl representatives emphasize that cooperation with Caritas Polska and Food Banks is very important for the chain. For more than 20 years, the network has been providing this type of assistance both before Easter and before Christmas.
