Possibility to receive earned salary at any time? It turns out that a benefit that is popular in Western Europe is sometimes used in Poland. For the introduction of the so-called salary on demand, the best time is hard to find.
“Pay on Demand” is the name of an innovative pay model that is increasingly used in companies in Western Europe (especially in the UK).
Salary on demand in taxi industry
According to Rzeczpospolita, such a solution is sometimes used in Poland, it was implemented by iTaxi.
– We implemented a solution that turned out to be a magnet that attracts drivers to our company – - says Yaroslav Grabovsky, president of iTaxi, quoted by the newspaper. – Thanks to this system, they can apply for a payment at any time, without waiting for the end of the month – he adds.
The system from Symmetrical.ay allows you to make an express transfer from the application without waiting for the calculation of non-cash paid fares. Drivers can make this payment three times a month for free, and more often for a small fee.
the so-called payroll on demand works on the basis of the employee’s remuneration. As a rule, the employer covers the costs of servicing the paid-in capital. Couriers can also use this option. Rzeczpospolita reports that at the beginning of February, daily payments of 8,000. Eternis, a transport and delivery company, offered its employees (a settlement partner of companies such as Uber, Bolt, Freenow, Glovo or Wolt, for which directly or indirectly employs several hundred thousand people in Poland).
Until now, employees have received money earned for fulfilling orders, depending on the payment calendar of a given Eternis partner, for example, once every two weeks or once a month. After making daily payments, drivers and couriers paying through Eternis can withdraw the earned money daily.
The described formula is not limited to taxi or courier service. Recently, companies have appeared on the Polish market that provide corporate clients with “on demand” withdrawals. Payments made on the basis of a loan secured by wages (usually a commission of several percent is charged on the money paid out) are made, incl. Revolut or Flexee.
perfect moment
Interest in such a model of remuneration in the world is huge. According to EY research, up to 80% of employees would like to use early pay in an on-demand formula. The dissemination of this solution in Poland would be especially necessary now, at a time of record high prices, when many people are not enough “for the first”.
