Danish television showed underwater photos of the destroyed section of Nord Stream 2. According to the expert, everything points to a “coordinated sabotage”
TV2 television showed the first underwater photographs showing the damage to the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline southeast of Bornholm. According to experts, the damage is very similar to those observed on the Swedish side in the area of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.
– Explosions look the same. There are deformations on the right side of the pipe. One can safely conclude that the same organization is involved, Jens Wenzel Christoffersen, a military analyst at the University of Copenhagen, told TV2.
According to the expert, this clearly indicates that both branches of the Nord Stream gas pipeline have become victims of “coordinated sabotage.”
Explosives
The hypotheses about the deliberate destruction of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines are increasingly being confirmed. On November 18, the Swedish prosecutor’s office presented the results of the investigation, which indicate that traces of explosives were found in the area of damage in the Nord Stream.
Explosions at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2
Gas leaks from the Nord Stream gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea on September 26 most likely occurred as a result of underwater explosions. Swedish prosecutors have just announced that an investigation has led to the discovery of traces of explosives at an underwater installation in the area of the pipeline rupture.
On October 7, representatives of the Swedish police spoke unambiguously about the possibility of an explosion. In late September, in a joint letter to the UN Security Council, Denmark and Sweden confirmed that the explosions that leaked gas from the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines could have been caused by the detonation of “several hundred kilograms of explosives.” However, Swedish police reports put an end to speculation on the subject.
