- The decline in energy prices is the reason for the state of the EU and Poland. We must arm ourselves with tools that will allow us to erase autumn, winter and spring, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the Economic Forum in Karpacz. He also called for the transfer of aid funds and grants to Ukraine.
- In anticipation of the crisis, we have prepared proposals and projects to protect the Polish economy; help the economy out of the crisis. The former include those that concern people, especially those who are the least able, who are the most vulnerable part of society, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the opening of the second day of the Economic Forum in Karpacz.
However, as he emphasized, we must have an answer to the crisis at the European level, and preferably at the global level. - Regardless of how we evaluate the EU, one thing is certain. The decision making process is very slow. The machine, which is mainly in the service of the greatest, clearly stutters. These are not just my observations. They are also observations of smaller countries. We have a certain structural deficit, imperfection in the decision-making process, the head of government said.

- We are building a coalition of states on a temporary reduction in the cost of ETS and a mechanism for changing the calculation of energy prices, - he stressed.
- We call for the reconstruction to happen faster, here and now. We are calling on this ever-growing group of states that say we need to act faster because we will have a deepening crisis. In the coming months, the impact of the sanctions packages will become more and more visible. We, democracies and the free West, not only want to survive, we want to win and help Ukraine,” Morawiecki said.
PM: For many Westerners, latte and Netflix may be more important than protecting their country
The Prime Minister noted that Ukraine is courageously and heroically fighting on the battlefield. - Russia wants to bring the Ukrainian economy to its knees, bringing it to bankruptcy. Ukrainians defend their imperfect country. I don’t know if latte and Netflix would not be more important for many Westerners than protecting their country, he stressed.
- Today I call on the EU to fulfill our commitments made at the June meeting of the Council of Europe, to provide assistance not only with grants, but also with loans. The EU is not very generous, even though people are dying there. Not for the first time in our history. However, there was a revolution in the idea of this war. (…) We must shake the minds of the EU countries, said the head of the Polish government.
