Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated GLE and GLE Coupé models in Poland. The SUV upgrade included exterior and interior design, as well as a technical package. The equipment has also been upgraded.
Electrified drives provide more efficiency, and the MBUX infotainment system is more modern. Prices for the new versions of both models start at PLN 356,900 for the GLE 300 d 4MATIC and PLN 420,900 for the GLE 300 d 4MATIC coupe (269 + 20 hp). The first cars will appear in Polish Mercedes showrooms in July 2023.
From the outside, the new versions of the GLE and GLE Coupé can be recognized by a redesigned front bumper and an updated grille. New design daytime running lights. The changes are complemented by new body paint options: Manufaktur Alpine Gray Non-Metallic and Sodalite Blue Metallic, as well as an updated range of 19- to 22-inch aerodynamically patterned rims.
Inside, the latest generation steering wheel with touchpads on horizontal spokes and chrome-plated air ducts are striking - as is the case with the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. Customers can choose from new color combinations and previously unavailable decorative elements such as Manufaktur piano lacquer with decorative lines.
More modern equipment
The new GLE and GLE Coupé get the second-generation MBUX infotainment system. The user has at his disposal eg. control of smart home devices, and the voice assistant “Hey Mercedes” can control selected functions without saying the activation password and without explaining the operation of the car’s equipment. Updated models also offer remote OTA updates.
The Driving Assistance package now offers additional advanced features, while towing assistance includes trailer maneuvering assistance, an updated towing menu and dedicated navigation route planning.
GLE and GLE Coupé have electrified powertrains. Their range includes mild hybrids with a 48-volt system and a starter-alternator, as well as plug-in hybrids. The latter received fourth-generation drives with a 136-horsepower electric motor. With a slightly increased electric range of up to 109 km, most everyday driving can be done on electric power alone. Most upgraded options have higher power. The biggest increase is 41 hp. — was in the GLE 400 e 4MATIC.
Prices for new versions
Prices for new editions of both models in Poland start at PLN 356,900 for the GLE 300 d 4MATIC and from PLN 420,900 for the GLE 300 d 4MATIC coupe (both 269 + 20 hp). The standard equipment of the GLE includes, for example. mirror package, smartphone integration, Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, multi-beam LED headlights, heated front seats, tinted windows, Easy-Pack power tailgate and Thermatic automatic air conditioning.
On more powerful versions and on all variants of the GLE Coupé, the following are also standard equipment: AMG Exterior Sports Package, Airmatic Air Suspension, Keyless Entry, Burmester Surround Sound System and Parking Package with 360° camera.
