That’s why Uber will launch a program to help you take your first steps in the industry.
Free license and other benefits for women
To become a taxi driver on application, you must meet all the requirements of the Road Transport Act, i.e., among other things, present a certificate of good conduct and a full set of tests. A barrier to entry for many women is the cost of obtaining a license and a car. Through its Women Drivers program, Uber will help cover all taxi licensing costs for the first 100 women to join the program. For the first 30 women, she will also pay additional deposits and car rental costs.
Other features of the program
As part of the program, Uber will connect candidates with trusted fleet partners from whom they can rent a vehicle. Uber will also cover the cost of the car within the first week, allowing you to earn money right from the start.
Woman Driver will allow you to earn on your own flexible schedule. The platform will allow you to adjust your driving schedule to take care of children or fulfill other important obligations.
