Otomoto presented the results of a survey of Poles’ opinions about electric vehicles. It turned out that the Poles collectively yes, but they have problems gaining knowledge about these machines.
44 percent of Poles say they want to have an electric car in the future, and 27 percent do not rule out such a possibility, according to a study commissioned by Otomoto by Minds & Roses. When deciding whether to switch to an electric car, Poles will be helped by answers to practical questions about using a car with zero emissions, but 76 percent. The respondents have no one to ask - as many as 3/4 of the Poles personally do not know anyone who drives an electric car.
Lack of knowledge still dominates
In a Minds & Roses study, Poles identified the most pressing issues in the context of electric vehicle ownership. The most frequently asked questions included distance traveled on a single charge (35%) and battery life and replaceability (35%). Equally important to them were the costs associated with using an electric car - the cost of a one-time charge at home and on the street (31%), the cost of a year’s car operation - including inspections, repairs and insurance (28%) and an increase in electricity bills after installing a charging station at home (22%).
- The list of questions for electric vehicle owners is long - the problem is that interested electricians have no one to ask them. In order to translate interest in electrics into a buying decision, we must dispel the doubts that accompany Polish drivers. We need to change communication, shift the focus to practical issues - related to the daily use of the car and the costs associated with it, and at the same time stop focusing on power and subjective driving comfort - Agnieszka Chaika, CEO of Otomoto, emphasized in her presentation at the New Mobility Congress 2022 in Łódź.
Electrician for Kowalski
The results of a study conducted by Minds & Roses show that ordinary Poles are increasingly thinking about electric vehicles. These are active drivers, more than half of whom drive a maximum of 750 kilometers per month. The vast majority, as much as 63 percent. interested in having an electrician in the future, currently owns a car over 11 years old and has a net income per person of 59 percent. a person from this group is less than PLN 3,500.
- There is no doubt that we are on the verge of an electric revolution. In the case of electric vehicles, changes are dictated not only by technical progress, but also by legislation. And although the Poles are open to change, it is clear that cooperation is needed for all actors involved in the promotion of electromobility - not only importers and dealers, battery manufacturers, but also those who monitor the needs of buyers on an ongoing basis. the foundation. Together we can present the whole context related to the use of an electric vehicle - Agnieszka Chaika spoke at the New Mobility Congress 2022.
Electricians are getting more and more popular.
According to Otomoto, both the supply of electric vehicles and the interest in these models are growing. On the site in July 2022, the number of listings for the sale of electric vehicles increased by 25%. compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of offers for the sale of used electrics is growing even faster - now there are as many as 50 percent of such offers. more than in 2021.
