Despite the difficulties associated with the war, the state is trying to consistently pay pensioners in full. But in some cases, citizens are forced to return the funds they received.
This was recalled in the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
This can happen when a person receiving a pension was counted more than he should receive.
As a rule, this happens when a pensioner fails to notify the PFC about his employment or entrepreneurial activity in a timely manner. And this must be done within 10 days after the job appeared or the sole proprietorship was registered - for this, you should provide a copy of the order for employment, a copy of the work book or a copy of the civil law contract.
Also, the Pension Fund should be reported about dismissal from work or termination of registration of entrepreneurial activity. This can be done by submitting a paper application, as well as online through your personal account on the PFU electronic services portal.
If, during the reconciliation of data, fund employees notice that the pensioner did not report employment, and the pension may already be paid to him, the recipient will be asked to voluntarily return the extra funds provided to him. If he refuses to do this, then the PFU, by law, has the right to independently collect 20% of his pension.
The above example is not the only case when you can “miss” part of the pension. In addition, we can no longer talk about 20, but about 50%.
Half of the pension can be taken away, for example, for the maintenance of family members (alimony); for compensation for damage from the theft of property of enterprises and organizations where the pensioner worked (if he is among those responsible for the losses); for compensation for damage if the pensioner caused harm to the health of another person, as well as in connection with the death of the victim; for the return of excess amounts of wages received in cases provided for by law.
Recall that in Ukraine there are several types of pensions. Pensioners can switch from one type to another, which is more beneficial to them.
