Very tasty Easter cake: an easy recipe from a famous cook

Each of us has our own favorite taste of Easter cake. This probably goes back to childhood. And lately there has been such a variety of Easter cakes and decorations that you are simply amazed. Homemade Easter cake has a special taste and aroma. And the process of preparing it itself is a pleasure. Shared the recipe cook from Krivoy Rog Ella Ivanovawho previously told us how to make icing for Easter baking.

– I think this recipe is very successful, – says Ella Ivanova. – You should try it. All ingredients should be at room temperature.

100 g flour

100 g warm milk

We combine everything and leave for 20 minutes.

Dough

1 kg flour

200 g milk

150 g sugar

10 g vanilla sugar

3 teaspoons citrus sugar (sugar with lemon and orange zest) – optional

100 g cream

100 g butter

3 eggs and 3 yolks

Half a teaspoon of salt

Turmeric powder (optional)

20 g butter

100 g cranberries (or raisins) and 1 tablespoon of rum.

Pour the milk and cream into a bowl, add the dough. Add eggs and yolks beaten with sugar. Then add salt, vanilla and citrus sugar, and turmeric if desired. Gradually add sifted flour. The dough should not be thick. Add butter – warm melted butter – and butter, raisins soaked in rum. Knead the dough for about 20 minutes until it stops sticking to your hands.
Leave for 40 minutes in a warm place.

Place in molds and let stand for 30 minutes until risen.

Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Time depends on size and shape.
