She spent the collected donations on playing in an online casino: the capital’s law enforcement agencies exposed a clever fraudster

In Kyiv, a pseudo-volunteer was exposed who allegedly collected money for cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and wounded military personnel, while in fact spending the donations she received on drugs and playing in online casinos.

According to law enforcement officers, a 26-year-old resident of Krivoy Rog was exposed while processing operational information.

The investigation established that by her actions the defendant deceived citizens out of 1.2 million hryvnia. During authorized searches at the latter’s places of residence, police seized evidence of her illegal activities - a mobile phone and SIM cards.

It turned out that the girl created fake accounts on the social network Facebook and in the Telegram messenger, and announced what appeared to be urgent collections for the military. Under all the advertisements was her personal bank card number and mobile phone number.

Currently, three victims of the fraudster’s actions have already been identified, but their number could be much larger, because efforts to identify all the victims are ongoing.

Ukrainians who transferred funds using the bank card details indicated under publications on the pages of the user “Vasily Vitalievna” on the social network Facebook (this page has already been deleted by the attacker) are urged to contact law enforcement officers.

The prosecutor’s office adds that a 26-year-old resident of Krivoy Rog reported suspicion of fraud.
