The former head coach of the Ukrainian national team, 72-year-old Myron Markevich, who at one time came under fire from the invaders near Maryinka, interrupted his sabbatical and became the head coach of Lviv Karpaty, the official website of the Green-Whites reports. In this position, the famous specialist, who became the oldest coach in the history of the Professional Football League, replaced Andriy Tlumak, could not lead the team from the first league to the Premier League (5th place).

Recall that Myron Bohdanovich previously worked with Karpaty four times (in 1992-1995, 1996-1999, 2001-2002 and 2003-2004), leading the team to the Ukrainian Cup final in 1993 and 1995 and winning in 1998 with the Lviv team bronze medals of the championship of Ukraine.

At the head of Metalist, the specialist took silver in the Ukrainian league and five times - bronze, and played with Dnipro in the Europa League final.

From February to August 2010, Markevich headed the national team of Ukraine, and from 2016 to 2021, Myron Bogdanovich worked as the chairman of the UAF national teams committee.

Earlier reported that the football club “Lviv” said goodbye to a foreign coach.
