The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which previously confirmed that the invaders at the front use Starlink satellite communication systems produced by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company, found out where these devices come from to the Russians.
The GUR notes that the aggressor state, Russia, is purchasing communications equipment, including Starlink satellite Internet terminals, for use in the war in Arab countries.
“In a fresh radio intercept, the Russian occupiers are discussing the relevant possibilities for acquiring a Starlink satellite communications terminal. According to one of the invaders, “the Arabs bring everything: wires, Wi-Fi, a router…”, and the cost of purchasing a Starlink device is 200 thousand rubles (more than 2 thousand dollars – Author),” – the message says.
Elon Musk himself denied selling systems to Russians, saying that such reports are fake and that “no Starlink was sold directly or indirectly to Russia.”
It was previously reported that Elon Musk’s position on the use of systems made it impossible for Ukraine to conduct an operation using naval drones in the Black Sea in the fall of 2022.
I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job.
I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others.
