After the enemy attack on the oil depot in Kharkov, which occurred on February 10, a difficult environmental situation developed in the region – according to preliminary data, about 3,000 tons of products ended up on Wednesday.
Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Kharkov region took water samples from 9 sites in the city of Kharkov and the region, namely in the Uda River.
An algorithm of actions has been developed to prevent the movement of harmful substances along the Uda River, which flows into the Seversky Donets River, and a place has been determined where measures will be taken to stop the movement of petroleum products using port infrastructure barriers and disinfection of water resources using sorbent.
