Recently, the SBU exposed the enemy’s intelligence network, which included former officials of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, as well as an employee of the regional department of the SBU. In the meantime, according to materials from the SBU and DBR, an ex-general from the Yanukovych era, who headed the FSB “branch” in occupied Melitopol, received suspicion in absentia
The Security Service notes that new crimes have been documented by the traitor Sergei Ganzhi, a former high-ranking official of the SBU during the Yanukovych era. He is accused of involvement in organizing mass repressions against civilians in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporozhye region.
Sergei Ganzha worked as the head of the SBU Department in the Kyiv region, head of the State Committee of Ukraine for State Material Reserves, major general of the SBU (until 02.26.2021). Until 2013, the President was authorized to monitor the activities of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Since 2014, Ganzha has been hiding in Russia, and at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he helped the occupiers spread the Kremlin regime. To do this, he arrived in the temporarily captured Melitopol, where he was appointed head of the so-called “state security service of the Zaporozhye region,” controlled by the FSB, which carried out its tasks of suppressing the resistance movement in the region.
He is a person involved in the Peacemaker databases.
“While in the ‘position’ of a punitive agency, Ganzha organized mass persecution, abductions and torture of local residents. According to reports, people were abducted right in the middle of the street or from their own homes, and then taken to Russian dungeons. In the dungeons, cruel torture was applied to the victims. Thus, the racists tried to intimidate the inhabitants of the region and persuade them to cooperate with the occupiers,” – the message says.
Ganzhi was notified in absentia of additional suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities). Back in 2015, based on SBU materials, the person involved was put on the international wanted list for high treason.
Let us remind you that the other day people’s deputy Nestor Shufrich from the banned party OPZZH, suspected of treason, was announced a new suspicion – of financing the National Guard in Crimea. For the militarized protection of elite real estate on the territory of the temporarily occupied peninsula, the company controlled by him paid more than half a million rubles in just 3 months of 2016.
