Four months ago I buried my sister: the war claimed the lives of a Ukrainian soldier

A native of Dzhulinka in the Vinnitsa region died in the war, Ivan Kravchenko. The father of four children has volunteered for the ATO since 2014. Currently, he defended Ukraine from the Russian invasion near Bakhmut. On May 15, in battle, he was wounded in the head, was hospitalized, and already on May 22 he went to the heavenly army.

“Ivan was a jack of all trades, he graduated from the Gaivoron Polytechnic College, later the Kharkov Institute of Communications. He knew how to do almost all construction work, made tables, caskets, chests … His woodwork will be a good reference to an incredibly talented person, – said in an obituary fellow villager of the warrior Ruslan Rudenko. – Recently, Ivan, along with his wife Julia and sons, were in Poland, working and dreaming about their future. However, on February 24, 2022, all plans were crossed out by the war. Three days later, at the call of his heart, Ivan returned to Ukraine and, taking up arms, volunteered to defend his homeland. The wife and sons also returned to their native land. We came to Kyiv to be support and support for a man in wartime. Almost every villager knows Ivan Kravchenko’s mother Lyudmila, because she is an amazing, talented, active, kind and positive person. She has a magical voice, was the headman of the folk ensemble of the Ukrainian song “Nadbuzhanka”. She raised three children with her husband: Tatyana, Ivan and Alyonushka“.

Now, according to the warrior’s countrymen, the woman is going through hard times… Four months ago, the disease claimed the life of Elena’s youngest daughter. And now the entire community expresses deep condolences over the irreparable loss of his son Ivan. The deceased soldier was survived by his mother, wife, four sons and a sister. The hero was buried on May 24 in Kyiv with military honors. In the Dzhulinsky community, mourning was declared that day.
