There are several types of pensions in Ukraine - according to age, disability, loss of a breadwinner, for long service.
Seniority pensions are established for certain categories of citizens employed in work, the performance of which leads to loss of professional ability to work or fitness.
This was told by the Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Yevhen Kapinus.
The maximum amount of a pension for years of service, regardless of the law according to which such a pension is assigned, cannot exceed ten subsistence minimums established for persons who have lost their ability to work. Currently, the maximum pension is UAH 20,930.
And the average pension payment in Ukraine today is a little more than 5,200 hryvnia.
Appointment and seniority, giving the right to a well-deserved rest after years of service, directly depends on the profession and position.
As for the recalculations of pensions for long service, they are still carried out today according to generally defined rules.
Recall that people awarded military orders and medals in Ukraine have the right to an additional payment to their pensions.
