During the 437 days of full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the Russian enemy launched 6 missile strikes, in particular on the cities of Chasov Yar, Konstantinovka and Kherson. In addition, the Russian Federation carried out 25 air strikes and more than 20 multiple launch rocket attacks. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states.
In contrast to the enemy, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes in a day on areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated, as well as a strike on the enemy anti-aircraft missile system. Also, during the current day, our defenders destroyed 4 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs and 2 reconnaissance drones, and missile and artillery units hit the enemy’s command post, 3 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment of the enemy, as well as an artillery unit on fire.
The main efforts of the Russian army were directed towards conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Maryinsky directions. During the day, the enemy made more than 30 attacks there, but the Defense Forces repulsed them.
In particular, in the Bakhmut direction, fighting continues in Bakhmut itself. The enemy also conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the directions of Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky, Predtechinoy and New York.
In the Maryinsky direction, units of the defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of the city of Maryinka. At the same time, the settlements of Georgievka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling.
In the Limansky direction, a search is being made for weak points in our defense through offensive operations in the direction of Belogorovka and Disputed, which, however, are unsuccessful.
And in the temporarily occupied territories of the South, the invaders continue to rob Ukrainian citizens and enterprises. In particular, as of May 5, in Energodar, not a single car remained on the territory of the Elektroyugmontazh-10 enterprise. The warehouse was also looted and machine tools removed.
Panic is also spreading among the invaders, and even when they are still in Russia. So, in one of the units of the Russian occupation forces, located in the village of Mulino, Nizhny Novgorod Region, commanders openly call their subordinates “cannon fodder.” In addition, servicemen complain about poor medical care, as well as the provision of personal protective equipment and equipment. About 50% of the personnel are not able to issue payment cards, so they fear that in the event of their death, their families will not get their funds.
Recall that the other day, the owner of the Wagner ChIK, Prigozhin, panickedly declared that Ukraine had allegedly already launched a counteroffensive, citing an increase in Ukrainian activity “along the perimeter” of the Bakhmut front. Putin’s chef also claims that Wagner’s flanks, now held by conventional Russian airborne troops, are not in the best condition.
