Pensions in connection with the death of a serviceman related to the performance of official duties are received no earlier than 55 years, regardless of the length of the insurance period.
The size of the pension payment is 70% of the salary of the deceased breadwinner to family members and the child (but not less than 7800 UAH). If there are two or more children in the family - 50% for each child (but not less than 6100 UAH).
This category is entitled to the appointment of such a pension if they are entitled to:
- retirement regardless of age;
- early retirement pension;
- retirement pension on preferential terms;
- a pension with a reduction in the retirement age in accordance with the law or persons with disabilities.
In the event of the death of a serviceman, not related to the performance of official duties, the parents and wife (husband) of the breadwinner have the right to receive pension payments.
The condition for receiving such a pension:
- age 60 years, regardless of whether they have insurance experience;
are persons with disabilities.
The size of the pension payment is 30% of the salary of the deceased for each family member.
“Regardless of the cause of death of the breadwinner, the minimum (2 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) and maximum (10 subsistence minimums for disabled persons) survivors’ pensions are applied to each disabled family member separately,” the Military Media Center noted.
